Feelings

This morning is the first time I’ve felt Baby Peanut move with my hand! He/she just had a party when we woke up, so I laid in bed and enjoyed the (for now) soft kicking. Very sweet! He/she is really low down but I did feel a few jabs high up. This baby is kicking on the left side whereas the other ones kicked me on the right…very different.

One more week until we have our ultrasound! Have you made a guess as to what the baby is?????

Phew…we made it!

Pictures are all done. He wound up taking the storm windows off and climbing up on a ladder to peer in through it and take pictures. It’ll be interesting to see the result. And I have to say, I have the cleanest set of plastic dishes anywhere! Zoe and Ace were great. I think they had fun and I added to the fun by promising they could have ice cream after supper! Normally, I’m not a big fan of bribes, but when they are doing something so out of the ordinary a treat is in order…especially when we have a sick one.

By the way, Ibuprofren is my friend when I need a hyper, happy sick Zoe!

Ace-ology…through the eyes of the child!

For the kids weekly memory verses, we’ve been using her Awana verses. They’ve worked for us. On non-Awana weeks we work with verses from an extra credit Awana book called Character Builders. We mainly focus on Zoe learning the verses, but Ace is able to learn them as well so we are also working with him. We’ve found the best time to say our verses is around the table during mealtime. This assures a good three times a day saying verses and Zoe can usually memorize a verse in about three days due to this repitition. Okay, so on to the funny…

This week’s verse is John 14:2: In my Father’s house, are many rooms. If it were not so, I would have told you. I’m going up there now to prepare a place for you.

So, Ace is reciting the verse, “In my Fader’s house, are many rooms…it’s a big big place”

I had to crack a grin! So cute and so true! It’s a big, big place with room for all of us if we just ask Jesus into our hearts 🙂

Actually, I think he is combining two songs that we enjoy (one they just heard this week), Rich Mullins’ “That where I am…” and Audio Adrenaline’s “Big House!”

Tea Time

Trying to finish up my chores while Liam took a nap today, I discovered that Zoe and Ace were being awefully quiet in her room. I found them in a corner of her room with three bears having “a tea party.” It looked quite interesting, so I grabbed the camera and took a few pics!

A Zoe & Ace Funny

I know I keep writing and most anyone who actually looks at this wants pictures…but my kids say such funny things.

Zoe and Ace wash the breakfast dishes every morning (well, the mornings we have cereal or oatmeal…we use plastic dishes then). So, of course, as they wash, they also make a pretty nice wet mess. I’ll walk in when they’re all done and Ace and Zoe both look up and shake their heads and say, “You don’t want to see this Mommy! You weally weally don’t want to see this.” This is as they are cleaning up their mess. I think it’s just too funny. I’ll have to get the video camera and film this little routine they have.

January Pics

Here are some of the pictures from January! Enjoy!!

Liam doesn’t get how to play our Elefun game but he has figured out it makes a great hat!!

Just chillin’ in our new kids rockin’ chair!

All I can say is, poor daddy! The kids favorite game is “pile on daddy!”

We visited with Mark’s grandmother, Mama Maude, in January. The kids really enjoyed playing with toys that both Mark and his dad had played with when they were kids. Mark and I loved the baked apple pies th

Ace funny

I forgot completely about this when updating a few minutes ago!

To keep cost down (and because we are not as self-sufficient as others in making several of our own products) we purchase as much store brand products as possible. This including rice crispy cereal (we have it for breakfast and I use it to make granola bars for Mark for work). Unfortunately, we ran out of the cereal before the end of the month and I needed some more. When I went to the store the store brand was out and we had to resort to buying the name brand.

At breakfast on Friday, Ace asked for rice crispy cereal. I gave it to him as soon as I poured milk on it and he said, “Ohhh, that too loud!”

Liam’s Kisses

Liam is giving big ol’ sloppy kisses now. We’ll ask Liam for a big kiss and he’ll lean in with a wide mouth and plant one on our cheek. Very sweet. We have to watch out because sometimes he won’t pull away and try to take a chunk o’ cheek with him!

Zoe and I are now doing “prenatal pilates” this is, hopefully, going to be our normal routine when the boys are taking a shower. She loves being with mommy and knowing that she is exercising to help keep the baby healthy. I’m praying that it will help me with a “natural” delivery!

Ace is being 2 which means to say we are tackling some tough issues with tempers and testing his limits. Not fun but better to get it done now than waiting until he is too old to take the correction. He is the apple of Liam’s eye and can do no wrong through him. Liam loves to watch and follow big brother everywhere. Ace loves having Liam hang around.

I’ll post pictures soon as I’ll have all the pics from January off the camera and organized by the end of the week.

Guesses for Baby Peanut

Okay, I couldn’t resist, I had to include a baby pool for baby peanut. We’ve done it with at least Zoe and Ace so I thought we’d do it with Little Peanut! You can click on the link below and enter the following information to be in on the pool! The winner gets to enjoy just being right.

For those that need to know: Not sure if I’m carrying high or low…mostly in the middle right now. I am currently not planning on being induced so the due date is up in the air. Eating a ton (no big cravings just a lot of different things). I didn’t ask the heart rate so can’t help there. Have fun guessing!!

Zoe’s prayer & Dancing Liam

Today Zoe has been praying that God would really bring her a baby sister. This is and will be a great teaching moment for her whether he has blessed us with a boy or girl!

Also, Liam has been dancing lately. He started out by holding on to something and moving his feet really fast up and down. Now when I say “Dance Liam Dance!” He’ll turn around in a circle…Really watching a lot of his sister and brother dance!
