My (Abbie’s) parents, Ge & Granddaddy came up Wednesday night to stay with the other kids and babysit them while I was at the hospital on Thursday. Now, I am one of two. And my mo and dad are both high school teachers. So, shepherding and watching four children six and under…reminded them why they are high school teachers and not elementary ed teachers. Needless to say, once the kids were in bed Thursday night, my parents were out cold until the little munchkins woke them up the next morning.

However, I think we rewarded them sufficiently with a pretty new grandkid.

A Dad funny:

We heard a couple of granddads talking in the hall Saturday morning.

One of them said, “This is number 4.”
Of course, granddads have to one up and the other said, “Ahh, this one is number 6 for us.”
Dad grinned and said to those of us in the room, “I’ve got you beat!” He’s so proud he won!
